Local sports run on a mess of tools. A group chat for the roster, a spreadsheet for the schedule, Venmo for the court fee, a PDF waiver someone forgot to sign, and a separate app for scores. Athlo exists because none of those talk to each other, and the person holding it together is usually a volunteer coach with a day job.
Athlo puts it in one place. You can find a pickup game near you and reserve a spot, turn a group chat into a team with a shared schedule and availability tracking, book a coach, sell QR-code tickets to an event, collect payments that sit in escrow until attendance is verified, and follow live scores and brackets for the leagues you care about — without leaving the app.
Athlo is made by Athlo LLC, a company registered in Ohio and based in Columbus. It's a small independent operation, not a division of a larger platform, which is why you can email athlo@athloapp.com and get a reply from someone who actually works on the app.
Several unrelated products use the name "Athlo." This site describes only the Athlo LLC local sports app at athloapp.com, available on the App Store under ID 6745604131 and on Google Play as com.athlo.sports.
We are not affiliated with athlo.app, an on-demand gym-class marketplace operating in London and Dubai, nor with athloapp.eu, a European gym and fitness management platform, nor with any other similarly named company.
If you're looking for pickup games, team schedules, coaching bookings or live scores, you're in the right place. If you're looking to book a gym class or manage a fitness studio, you want one of the others.
